Our Story

B-Loved Holistic Health grew from my own search for a different path to wellness—and from a belief that even the smallest acts, when done with love and intention, can make a difference.

My name is Barbara LeRoux, although a dear friend began calling me simply “B.” That little name eventually became part of something much bigger.

My journey into herbalism began while searching for answers for myself and my family. Living with chronic pain led me to explore plants, traditional herbal practices, and different ways of supporting our overall well-being.

What began as a personal search gradually became a path I wanted to share with others. I became a Certified Herbalist, but my learning has never stopped. I continue to learn from research, traditional knowledge, growing and working with plants, and the changing seasons in my own garden.

Why B-Loved?

The name B-Loved holds several meanings that are close to my heart.

“B” is me—Barbara—but B-Loved is also a reminder to be loved and to bring a little more love and intention into the world.

And then there are the bees.

From spring through fall, bees lovingly attend the flowers and herbs throughout my garden. While I plant, tend and harvest, they are there doing their own important work. They have become part of the B-Loved story too.

Much of what I create begins in my small garden in Grindrod, British Columbia. Other plants and ingredients are responsibly wild harvested or locally sourced before being carefully prepared, infused and transformed into the botanical creations I offer.

Every seed I plant has intention behind it. Every herb and plant I harvest, I thank for its medicine and for helping me help others.

There is something deeply meaningful to me about knowing the journey of an ingredient—from a tiny seed placed in the soil, to a plant visited by bees, to the day it is harvested and eventually becomes part of something created for another person.

A Different Approach to Wellness

Through my own experiences, I have come to see wellness as more than one approach. For me, it can encompass the physical, emotional, intentional and spiritual.

B-Loved reflects that philosophy.

I create in small batches, combining traditional herbal preparations with thoughtful formulation practices. I choose ingredients purposefully and grow and prepare many of the herbs I work with myself.

My garden is grown in organic soil and is pesticide- and herbicide-free, allowing the plants to grow naturally alongside the bees and other life that share the garden.

When choosing ingredients beyond what I can grow or harvest myself, I favour naturally derived and thoughtfully sourced ingredients wherever possible. I also formulate without synthetic fragrance, staying as close as I can to the plants and ingredients that inspired B-Loved in the first place.

My hope is simply to offer another way of thinking about how we care for ourselves—one that is connected to nature, grounded in intention and created with genuine care.

B-Loved continues to grow as I grow. I am still learning, planting, harvesting, formulating and discovering.

And whether something begins with a seed in my garden, a bee visiting a flower, or an herb slowly infusing into oil, the intention remains the same:

To create something with love that may bring a little more care into someone else's life.

Grown, harvested, infused & created by B—with a little help from the bees.

Made with love, herbs & intention. 💜🌼

Grown Here, With Intention

Echinacea growing in the B-Loved garden in Grindrod, BC. Many of the herbs and flowers I use begin right here—grown from seed, tended by hand and harvested with care.

Harvested by Hand

Each herb and flower is harvested by hand with care and intention. I thank the plants for what they have given before preparing them for drying, infusing or creating.

From Garden to Creation

Seed → Garden → Harvest → Infusion → Creation

A calendula flower may begin as a tiny seed, grow among the bees and sunshine, then be hand harvested and slowly infused before becoming part of a B-Loved creation.

A Garden Shared With the Bees

The garden is shared with the bees and other pollinators that visit from spring through fall. They are an important part of the B-Loved garden—and a little part of the B-Loved story too.
